The uniqueness of the Monkey made it an instant hit among the young and young at heart. In August 1978, Honda released the big brother of the Monkey and appropriately named it "Gorilla". Save the gas tank and seat, the Gorilla adopted fundamentally the same parts as the Monkey. The most defining aspect of the Gorilla is its swelled chest, an oversized gas tank, which boasts a capacity of 9 liters providing a 630km maximum running distance. Its powerplant was a 49cc air-cooled single cylinder SOHC engine, which was also used on Honda's best selling Super Cub. The Gorilla was also equipped with a manual 4-speed transmission, opposed to the automatic 3-speed system of the Monkey. Production was ceased in 1992 but the popularity of the machine, however did not dwindle, with the few remaining used Gorillas fetching premium prices. It was in February 1998 when Honda resumed production, this time bringing out a new Gorilla equipped with the Monkey's large headlamp and using chrome parts on the headlight casing, fender and other places. January 1999 saw the production of 3500 "Honda Gorilla Spring Collection" machines. This version was meant to shine, and features chrome parts on virtually every visible part of the bike. The gas tank, the side-cover, the front forks, the chain case, the wheels, the exhaust pipe cover, even the frame and swing arm glisten with gorgeous chrome. Honda revamped the Z100 park version for use on public roads, and brought out the CZ100 model which began to be exported in 1963. The first model to be marketed in Japan was the improved Z50M Monkey, which featured folding handlebars and seat for easy stowing in a passenger car. In January 2000, Honda brought out the 2000 anniversary edition of the Monkey, which sported the image coloring of the 1971 Z50Z(2) model. The production of this special Monkey was limited to 3000 motorcycles. The continued appeal of the Monkey must be both its diminutive size and ease of customization. Each Monkey owner is free to interchange any number of components including the engine parts, carburetor, exhaust pipe and suspension. Das Standmodell ist eine Nachempfindung des Flugzeugs Messerschmitt Bf109 aus der Baureihe G-6, welche zum damaligen Zeitpunkt mit einer Stückzahl von ca. 13.000 die meistproduzierte Variante war. Dieses Flugzeug wurde sowohl an der West- als auch an der Ostfront eingesetzt und dominierte vor allem die sowjetischen Gegner, da sie bis zum Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs im Einsatz war. Die G-6 Variante des Flugzeuges war mit zwei 13-mm-MG131- ausgestattet, welche in einer markanten Ausbuchtung des Cockpits verbaut waren, diese Ausbuchtung wurde als „Beule" bezeichnet. Das Diorama wird durch den Kübelwagen Typ 85 im Maßstab 1:48 abgerundet. Im November 1938 wurde der Prototyp des Kübelwagens vorgestellt. Er verfügte über eine leichte, aber verwindungssteife Schalenkonstruktion mit einem Faltverdeck. Der hinten eingebaute, luftgekühlte 4-Zylinder Motor hatte einen Hubraum von 985cm³ und eine Leistung von 23,5 PS bei 3000 Umdrehungen, der das Auto auf 80 km/h brachte.

History of the Zero fighter: The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the Japanese Navy's main fighter throughout the Pacific Theater during WWII. In the latter half of the war, the model 52 Zero, a refined version of the model 22, aimed to take on the ever increasing numbers of high-performance U.S. aircraft. It featured a shorter 11m wingspan with rounded wingtips, was powered by the same 1130hp Nakajima "Sakae" engine as seen in the model 22 Zero, and had the new exhaust propulsion system which gave it a 565km/h top speed. The A6M5 came armed with two 7.7mm machine guns and 20mm belt-fed cannons. Deployment of the A6M5 began in the autumn of 1943, and they saw action in the Solomons campaign as well as over the Marianas. It defended Japan against overwhelming numbers of superior U.S. aircraft up until the very last day of the war.

A6M3 Zero Fighter T32 Hamp About the A6M3 Type 32 Zero Fighter (HAMP) Much has been written over the years about the Japanese Zero Fighter Aircraft series. Much was based upon hearsay and legend and little upon fact itself. Even the Allied Forces and governments refused at first to acknowledge its existence, and when they did get a copy of it, they could hardly believe the performance it produced. The prototype zero or A6M1 first took place on paper on January 17, 1938, following the Japanese request for a shipboard fighter with a top speed of 27o kph at 12000 ft 7 6-8 hours of cruise economy endurance and 1.5-2 hours at normal combat speeds. Armament was to be two 20mm cannon and two 7.7mm machine guns plus the normal radio equipment and direction finding gear. These specifications wee so far from the existing state of the art that the famous Nakajima Company dropped out of competition, stating that they were impossible to meet. That left Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and their design team headed by Jiro Horikoshi the only company to tackle the problem. First flight was on 1 April 1939 and combat trials were concluded in July 1940 with 15 pre-production A6M2's sent to two squadrons by the end of the month. These aircraft had folding wing tips to accommodate aircraft carrier elevators, and were the ones first seen by Gen. Chennault in China, and at Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Although the A6M2 met or exceeded original design specifications, modifications were taking place at the Mitsubishi factory to improve roll rate, speed up handling aboard carriers, and utilize the uprated Sakae 21, 1,130 hp engine. The first A6M3 type 32 (code named HAMP) took to the air on 15 July 1941 with production beginning in April 42.
