Bondtech Extruder For Prusa i3 MK3S This kit contains the necessary parts to convert your current extruder to our own popular design based upon our BMG (Bondtech Mini Geared) extruder with 3:1 gearing ratio for better precision and resolution together with optimized geometry for the heatsink cooling and professional SLS 3D printed housing. Lightweight BMG (Bondtech Mini Geared) With this version we also lower the moving weight to reduce ghosting and vibrations or to allow increasing the printing speed. 15% of weight saving was achieved. Product Main Features This extruder upgrade kit is for the Prusa i3 MK3S, or other Prusa i3 models upgraded to MK3S. These are its main features: - Adapted to fit Prusa’s new filament sensor; - Includes one Bondtech’s BMG extruder with 3:1 gearing ratio; - Optimized geometry for heat-sink cooling; - Less moving weight to reduce vibration and ghosting; - Professional SLS 3D printed housing. Addressing 3D printing Issues The enhanced housing design improves cooling and decreases heat creeping issues that all metal hotends have when printing with PLA. This small enhancement will avoid many clogs. The increased push force will drastically reduce slipping, shredding and deformation of the filament avoiding most of the common filament 3D printing issues that start with under and over extrusion. Updating the Firmware To use this upgrade in the MK3S, the E-steps needs to be updated to 830, as it uses 32-bit microstepping. Multi-material capability Our BMG extruder feeds all material with high reliability, from slippery nylons and soft TPU/TPE filaments to highly rigid and sometimes brittle carbon-filled high-strength materials. The extruder is designed for 1.75 mm filaments, but has been tested to ensure performance of filament from 1.5mm up to 2.0mm allowing for high reliability regardless of the tolerance of the filament used. The filament path is fully guided throughout the extruder body and the housing maintains tight tolerances to the drive gears mitigating the chances of Filament Misfeed when the hotend experiences increased backpressure or highly flexible filaments are used. Adjustable tension The thumbscrew tensioner allows the user to fine-tune the pressure exerted by the drive gears onto the filament. This gives you the power to adjust according to your preferences and to optimize for the type of material you are using. Quick-Release To be able to do material changes in a snap, simply activate the Quick-Release lever to release the tension and pull the material to be changed out of the extruder, keep it activated and insert the new material. Multi-application design This extruder can be used in a Bowden or direct setups and gives you the flexibility to choose what works best for your application. In addition it features an integrated hotend retention method compatible with the E3D-V6 hotends or others using the GrooveMount standard. Mounting your hotend is simple, secure, and wobble free by means of just two bolts. Flexible mounting options We have designed a standard mounting bracket, both in CNC and as a 3D printable part that you can download from our stl-archive for free. Built for the Creality3D CR-10 V2 This extruder upgrade kit is for the Creality CR-10 V2 and will replace the original feeder. This kit contains no motor, the original motor is used. Bondtech`s Dual Drive Performance This kit provides a high-performance material feeding system with the ability to print faster with improved quality. The adjustable thumbscrew allows you to fine-tune the force acting on the filament. It allows for a more reliable printing with all sorts of filaments, both stiff and flexible and the DualDrive system ensures that the extruder never loses grip of the filament so grinding, slipping is a thing of the past. Lower Current Recommended Due to the gearing ratio, the stepper motor can push filament with such force the Bowden tube can be extruded in case there is a clog. To avoid such damage, we recommend lowering the stepper motor Current to near half the original current. Check the Step By Step Guide that teaches users how to do it. Bowden Solution The Bowden tube is securely held in place by the 4mm industry standard integrated push-fit connector. Reducing Filament Jams There is now a near to 0,1mm gap between the Bondtech gears and SLS 3D printed housing that avoids filament to jam in there. An additional short PTFE Tube is added between the Extruder and the Filament Sensor to allow for easier filament loading and unloading. SLS Printed Housing The housing parts are professionally SLS 3D printed with polyamide for maximum strength and precision. Due to the slightly higher geometry of the extruder, the total print height will be 390 mm. Firmware Update The Creality3D Firmware needs to be updated in order to use this Upgrade Kit. The E-steps need to be updated to 415. Please see the installation guide on how to do it that you will find under the tab “Step By Step Guide”. In your slicer it is also required to adjust the Maximum Z Height to 390mm using Machine Settings. Bondtech Mini Extruder Kit for Wanhao i3 Bondtech Mini mit Dual-Drive-Zahnrädern, die das Filament von beiden Seiten fängt, ohne Schlupf oder Schleifen als Upgrade-Kit für den Wanhao I3 Drucker.
