Außerdem verfügt es über eine Nano-AR-Beschichtung, die Reflexionen unterdrückt und eine effiziente Lichtdurchlässigkeit für klare Fotos ermöglicht. Die maximale Blendenöffnung von f/2.8 ist für Aufnahmen bei schwachem Licht effektiv und ermöglicht einen Fokus mit geringer Tiefenschärfe. Ein internes Fokussystem, bei dem sich beim Fokussieren nur die mittleren optischen Gruppen bewegen, sorgt für schnelle Autofokusaktion und einen kurzen Mindestfokusabstand von 28 cm (11 Zoll).
