Clarke Lady Black Don't be fooled by the image and the category: although this is strictly speaking a hoodie (soft material + hood) the Clarke has just a bit more to offer. It's not a full-blooded motorcycle jacket either, though. Modeka itself calls it a softshell jacket and maybe that's what it is? The outside in - you guessed it - softshell is an easy one. But then: shoulders and elbows got an extra layer of abrasion resistant textile, which immediately surpasses regular hoodie qualities. You can’t really get any tighter and you certainly won’t sweat in these. The Samur Air 2.0 makes no efforts to hide its summery ambitions: the palm consists of wear-resistant Amara – double-layered where needed – but just about the entire back is made up of 3D-mesh and elastane. You can’t really get any closer to ‘it just blows right through’. And of course, this doesn’t deflect from the Samur Air 2.0’s protective qualities, that were effortlessly awarded the CE certification standard (EN13594:2015).
